Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako by The BCD Sisters

Dalawa kayo sa buhay ko
At ako ngayon ay kailangan nang mamili
Isa lang ang maaari
Alam mong narito ako
Lagi para sa iyo
Mahal kita ng labis
Ngunit iba ang iyong nais
At siya'y narito
Alay sa ki'y wagas na pag-ibig
Nalilito
Litong litong lito

Sino ang iibigin ko
Ikaw ba na pangarap ko
O siya bang kumakatok sa puso ko
Oh anong paiiralin ko
Isip ba o ang puso ko
Nalilito litong litong lito
Sinong pipiliin ko
Mahal ko o mahal ako

Kahit di ako ang mahal mo
Kung mananatili ako sa yo
Ay baka matutunan mo rin
Na ako'y iyong ibigin
At kung sadyang siya'y tapat
Baka sakaling pagdaan ng araw
Matutunan ko rin ang ibigin siya

Sino ang iibigin ko
Ikaw ba na pangarap ko
O siya bang kumakatok sa puso ko
Oh anong paiiralin ko
Isip ba o ang puso ko
Nalilito litong litong lito
Sinong pipiliin ko

Ang nais ko ay maranasan
Ang umibig at masuklian din ng pag-ibig

Sino ang iibigin ko
Ikaw ba na pangarap ko
O siya ba
Oh anong paiiralin ko
Isip ba o ang puso ko
Nalilito litong litong lito
Litong litong lito
Sinong pipiliin ko
Mahal ko o mahal ako

..♫...♫ parents just don't understand♫ ...♫ ♫

" But you don't understand mom! you don't understand anything!!! "
I expect to hear this from a 16 yr old not from a 6 year old. I can't believe my 6 yr old said these words to me. Aaarggh! It all started with the a conversation I had with her regarding one of her classmate who happens to upset her a couple of times. She told me how much she doesn't like this boy because he is not nice to her. So as a mom, it concerns me. It sure looks like it bothers her. I don't like her being bully, who does right? So I told her to tell her teacher what's going on or I would, if this boy is making her feel uncomfortable she has to let her teacher know. And guess what she said to me...? " But you don't understand mom! you don't understand anything!!! " OMG! really? What is there that I miss and don't understand? Can you imagine her at 16?

The day before that, I tried picking clothes for her like I always do in the morning, ended up hearing her say.."I hate that top Mom" Of course I asked why? it was a cute top. She said" you don't get it mom,it made me look weird!" What??? Really again...? But my love you are just 6,it doesn't matter yet..."But mom...!!!" And there you go, I gave in ,let her pick her own clothes that day.

Can time stop for a minute, she's growing up so fast and it's scary I can't stop it. My lil babydoll is growing up too fast that really, I'm scared to wake up one day that her choices in life are things I don't "GET" and that I wouldn't be able to understand her.

Found this video on Utube, not really a fan of this style of music.

Some Things I'm learning from my kids and other kids....

1. Say "Cheese and Sprinkles" instead of saying "Jesus Christ!" and her reasons? you wouldn't believe her reasons behind. - from Doniella. my 6 yr old.

2. That it's okey to wear read socks if you wearing an open toes sandals. It actually looks good.- from Doniella

3.
Kid: Mom,this one is too expensive don't even try it on!
Mom: But I like it honey!
Kid: look mom,it's 100 and zero, zero. We can't afford it right?
- over heard

a kid talking

Room.
Lesson: don't try on something you can't afford, lol!

4.
Boy: Dad,do you know who Michael Korrs is?
Dad: I don't, do you?

Lesson: Get to know the designer of the shirt you're thinking of buying.

5. Korin, my middle child is a one accident prone kid like me. She gets Boo-boo at least 4- 6 times a day or more. So I'm always ready with kisses but lately she's asking for not just kisses but hugs telling me " It hurts more so I need a Hug Mom...Kisses are for little boo-boos!"

Lesson : Kiss can't take all the pain away sometimes we'll get better faster with a big hug!

Parent Teacher Conference

We all went to Doniella's school yesterday for Parent-Teacher conference. The " D-Gang" lol, the five of us coz we didn't have a sitter. It supposedly just Parents, but the teacher was so nice to let the kids in, made it so easy for us. We're just lucky the little bratz were so behave inside the classroom, my husband and I were able to have a nice talk with the teacher.
We are so proud of all the positive feedback from her first grade teacher. Our little Elle is doing really good in school, her reading and writing skills are excellent and her artwork is remarkable. That we are thinking of getting her real ones (art supplies,I mean) and see how she'll do. And today we decided to enroll her at Young Rembrandt, one of her school's enrichment program. So aside from learning Violin, roller skates, riding her bike and school, we'll add art to her list of activities. After all, she always wanted to be an artist when she grow up.
A Teacher and an artist. She's going to be one busy 6 yr old. With all these I'm hoping not to hear the words "I'm bored Mom!" ever again. She loves school and so glad that she is doing great.

My Picky Little 2 yr old fashionista

My two year old is driving me crazy lately because of her clothing choices. It is ruffling my invisible feathers. I let her take charge of what she wears every now and then, because I understand she is 2 and she is now exploring her new found independence but.... it could be annoying at some point. I've been doing some readings about it and I take comfort that almost all parents experienced the same thing and oh, I'm glad my little doll hates being naked because I read some 2yr old loves to be naked.
What my babydoll is doing though, are changing her clothes almost 5 to 10 times a day, don't like the clothes that I picked for her, she screams if you try to put it on and dressing turns into wrestling between us. She also likes wearing only clothes with disney princess on it though she doesn't particularly like watching disney princess's movies. And now she hates wearing a sweater or coat. She love her old tired hand me down disney princess pajama, you just can't take it off or it could horribly turns into a loud screaming fit. She loves this red shoes in this photo, even though it hurts her feet. There was one time, all she wants to wear is her Strawberry Shortcake swimsuit, glad that's over. I put it away so she won't see, that was the only solution. I'm sure it's just a phase but it sure is a lot of work especially in the Patience side.

My 6 yr old on the other hand is not a picky dresser, thank goodness! As long as it's not too tight or too short for her, she is fine. We only argue about her shoes though cause she loves her twinkle shoes.Cause her Bff's in her class are all wearing twinkle shoes. And so is my 4 yr old,not a picky dresser at all. I'm just glad, I wish for this phase to last as long as it could.

I only have two rules in dressing my kids, as I'm not a fashionista myself.
1. it has to be clean and
2. it should atleast match.

But I gave up on those too.

Getting even? Who taught you that?

My two year old just hit me in the forehead, of course it hurts and I am the only one to blame :-(

Well,She usually does it with objects, when something hurts her. She come to me every time she bumped into something and always want to me to hit it back.

Like for example she bump on the table, she would want me to spank the table back and say "bad table huh? it hurt you,you bad table you!" and to anything that hurts her. She always tell me what her sisters did to her and she would want me to reprimand them. So to soothe her hurt little ego, mommy gave in. I'll pretend I hit the object back, the stuff that hurt her. Although I know you are not supposed to say " No, hitting!" to your kid and yet you do it right? Mommy mistake # 101 ( Oh and I do have a lot!). One day, her lips hit my head ( hit it pretty hard too) while playing with her. She cried and asked me to kiss her boo-boo, so I did. I said sorry to her, that it was just an accident but then out of nowhere after she stopped crying, slapped my forehead. Hard! I was caught unaware,so she hit my right eye pretty good. It was painful but what are you gonna do? She learned it from me I guess, internalized what I've been doing to those objects that hurt her and did it to me. Time to change huh? Yes.

Bedtime Stories Revised

My kids especially Korin and BridgyBrat love to be one of the characters in their bedtime stories. So I have to come up with one that have three characters or two and have their names as the lead. It's hard because it usually is just one main character ( "Bida" ) in stories. If I read Cinderella to them, either one of them wants to be the stepsisters. But there can't be three Cinderellas right? or I could be wrong. They all want to be the main character and Funny how I always end up as the villain, either the wicked Queen or the nasty Stepmother. And according to my 4 yr old, since I am Filipina and I'm brown I could be Princess Tiana.

I have to do something because I want them to have a good night sleep and not end up fighting for who is who and stayed up late. So I came up with my own story...
"Once upon a time,in a far away kingdom there live three beautiful Princesses name Korin,Bridget and Doniella and they all love to dance. The king and the Queen gave them each magic shoes to help them be the best dancer in the whole kingdom..one is purple magic shoes, one is pink and one is Yellow. One day the magic shoes are gone,it's not where they put them last...ah,ohhh......"
That's how the story starts,or that is the introduction,it is basically about their search to find their missing magic shoes...then I incorporate plots from their favorite fairy tales or cartoons on how the characters their stole their shoes. It's been working, they listen attentively and giggles and sometimes ask for one more adventure. Their Favorite so far, is when donkey stole their magic shoes to give to Shrek and Fiona's babies.Whew!that one was a fun adventure for both me and my girls.

Tonight I will have Flynn Rider steal Korin's magic shoes to give to Rapunzel,She specifically asked for it last night. Korin is my 4 yr old co-writer. Her imagination is million times better than mine anyway.

Terrible - twos :-(

The Terrible - Twos stage can strike as early as 18 months, yes that is true with my now 6 yr old and 4 yr old girls. I didn't like this stage in my children's development cause it is when they test us parents if their little found power over us will work. With my Little BridgyBrat it started just about three weeks ago,I noticed my little sweet cooperative angel is gone, and I'm left with this little manipulative, controlling lil person. She does not like the clothes I pick for her, does not like the shoes I ask her to put on,She like changing her clothes 4 to 10 times a day. She cries just because she can.She screams and cries like you're hurting her. She grabs her big sisters toys cause she think everything is hers. She have very little vocabulary but she can scream " Mah,Mah!!" At first I thought she is calling me but rather she meant "Mine,Mine!" She'll throw a fit when she doesn't get what she wants. She sure knows how to test my limits. I wish I have a tip to share if you are going through the same thing...I am still going through terrible twos with my four year old,so I better do a good job with the third one. I can't wait for this phase to be over already.

Elles' 1st Playdate of the year.

This whole play dates thingy is new to me,from where I came from you play with your neighbors, cousins and pretty much everyone after school. It was fun, growing up there as a kid playing was a lot of fun. Today is Doniella's first play date.Everything went well except for some little Elle drama we called "Crying like only Doniella can". Since she has new set of classmates this year,It took us just now to set up a play date for Elle. She was so excited to the extent that last night she went to bed early by herself, woke up early without a fuzz too.Ahuh,it was the first! It seems like she had so much fun that when Daddy picked her up today she hid from him, and cried because she doesn't want to come home anymore or yet. Oh boy, reminds me of how she did the same act last year that I ended up not having her do play dates anymore. Also she started comparing her room, clothes, her toys to what her friends have. She stared questioning about our house, why we don't have these and that. We live in a nice town but the house we are currently renting is kind of old and funky. But it's our home I told her. So we made her promise not to act the way she did if she would want to have another play date in the future.

Babytalk?

Yes,she is a cutie and I love her with all my heart. She is a super smart little baby, she even knows how to operate my Evo Android phone more than her dad but she is not talking yet, everything is aah..aahh. ooh,uh,ngek ngek! It's cute but as a mom it worries me.
My Mother in law said she started talking when she was three so maybe it's in the genes huh? But I'm still worried,my babydoll is turning two this Aug.29 and she only knows the words momma and not so much dada. She call everybody momma, even her sisters.
It's tough for us because lately she is showing how frustrated she is by not being able to communicate so she does the 'screaming on top of her lungs' action which is driving everybody crazy. I remember my second child started talking when she was 14 months old and so is our eldest. And I was actually expecting her to talk earlier because she had her big sisters to talk to. hmmm,I guess in our case that theory is proven wrong.
Her pediatrician actually told us that there is nothing to worry about, to be patient that she will start talking when she wants to, so far she sees nothing alarming. That everything is normal as far as her medical chart is.

I love comments, I do I do!!!
