Keeping up with the Marathon hopefuls

My friends signed up for a Marathon this March 10,2013 San Jose 408K Race to the Row and they wanted me to sign up as well but I don't wanna do it yet just because I know I let myself go for the last two years and I'm so unfit. Last Saturday I went for a hike with them and I was left behind half of the hike cause I'm so out of shape, my stamina was so low it was pathetic. I was sore the next two days, felt like quitting already. Then I saw a post of this super fit girl I was following on Instagram saying " Sore is new Sexy" lol! So,

I don't own the photo :(
I went with them this morning again, I did so much better than last time and I'm so proud of myself. I still have to train more and do more working out on my own. I woke up this morning weighing 114.2 lbs, yay! That was I think because I switched from eating my salad at lunch to having it dinner at time instead. I feel better! I felt lighter, for 3 days I didn't have meat, chocolate and other junk food. I have a slight headache though, sugar withdrawal you think? I had all the chance to cheat but I didn't. yay! This saturday we plan to run earlier cause the weather is starting to warm up now and according to the weather forecast Saturday is gonna be gorgeous @ 75 degrees, yay!beach day! So we'll see! I had no excuse anymore weather is getting nicer!

Getting Fit @ 35

Hello Blogsphere! It's been a while, I've been extremely busy with a lot of stuff mostly personal, plus I 've been having a hard time finding my inspiration and lately it's been hiding good. But anyway, Hello! Hope all is well, and that ya'll had a nice Valentines day with your love ones. Ey, this post is not about post valentine entry at all, It's about the latest fitness craze happening in the bay particularly with some of my girlsfriends. And I feel like I got to do it too. It seems that most of my girls are into getting in shape nowadays. I went out with my BFF Aida saturday morning, and with Ms. Arlyn to Los Gatos Trail and did a 9 miles run/walk and it's sad to say I was not able to keep up with them. I forced my self too much I guess that I felt so sore the next day, I've never been that sore before. . Did I tell you I'll be 35 in a month? Ouch! Yeah. And I am hoping that I'm not too old to start to get fit. Cause that 9 miles hike sure made me feel like an old f*r#! Here's my stat, I almost made it to 4'11"...almost and I'm 117lbs... I'm over weight, yes!?! I got to do something about it...I'm in my mid 30's, I'm so out of shape and most of the time lethargic and  it's sickening! I'm tired of feeling tired! So let's go do it, I'm keeping up with fitness craze and with the support of my husband ( who knows me so well, that I don't have the will power) I think I can do it. I hope! By the way he is my trainor and my chef! Love!

Product Review: e.l.f. Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette - Limited Edition

I am so cheap when it comes to my make up that's why I love drugstore cosmetics. They're very convenient and very easy on your pocket. This mini eye shadow palette is right up on my alley. I got this at Walgreens for $4.99 December of last year, how cool is that? The pigmentation is wonderful but not heavy and with an eye primer it lasted longer. The packaging is cheaply made, what do you expect right? I initially bought it as a stocking stuffer  because my 7 yr old is actually starting to like make up. Lately she's been practicing on her sisters too. But I thought I could work on it.

This is exactly what I need without throwing away much cash since I don't wear make up on an everyday basis. I only wear make up when there's party or events which I rarely go to anyway.

If you're hard to please with your make up, this is not for you. But I tell you I paid $45 something for a popular brand and the quality is almost the same. It's ridiculous! I got enormous amount of fall out as well. Have you heard the allegations that possibly these make up companies have the same distributors, that they just price their products differently base on who is popular? Who knows! I'd go with the cheapy then! At least for now...

Shangri-La vegetarian Restaurant's Sweet and Sour Walnut

Our first Restaurant dinner for year 2013 was at Shangri-La Vegetarian restaurant on Irving Street, San Francisco.  Our good friend Stella brought us there yesterday. We ordered a bunch of food but there's this one that took my interest.  Sweet and Sour Walnut.  I remember My husband's favorite was Chicken sweet and sour, that's just one of the few asian food he could actually devour. Now that he went back  to being a vegetarian, It wouldn't be hard for him to like this  meal. And I was right, he loved it.

I love this meal too, I wish I could  find time to make it one of these days. Hubby said he thinks he can do it, we'll see.

I love the presentation too. Don't you? By the way, I'm not a vegetarian, my husband is. And so are my kids. My kids love it too.

Hoping for Happy "back pain" less new Year!!!!

2012 has been a year full of pain for me..back pain that is! I've been in and out of the Chiropractors office, x-ray rooms and urgent clinics because of my back pain and it was not a whole lot of fun. I hate being limited in that way. Having back pain means I can't carry my little one who always love me carrying her. The last two months has been really good, I was feeling free. I can actually lift 30 lbs of load. I went back to doing a little bit of my Turbo jam DVD work out and with little to no episodes of back pain I felt happier. Yay!!! But really having back pain is scary and at first I thought I was just being paranoid  but after talking to some of my co-workers who had the same problem, back pain can be really scary.

Yesterday morning, the accident prone Mrs. Dumont fell off the stairs, that's me lol! I went out to warm up the car so my little angels won't be cold. At 7:15 in the morning the car was frosted, the grass outside was frosted too, the steps are iced and I was careless and that's how I slipped. My toast went flying I can't find it 'till now. I found my self at the bottom of the stairs yelling for help. I tried to get up but it just too painful, so I stayed there ...It was freezing. I hit my left hip up towards the  left side of my waist :(

Mrs. Dumont is tough, she still went to work that day. Which was St*p#d! coz she  didn't get a chance to ice her back so she's in too much pain today, thanks for her extra strength pain pill.lol!

Not only that I miss the new year's dinner with my friends, I was in pain. My back is crooked again. So we stayed home, I got to welcome the new year with my whole family
(coz for the last 4 new years eve I didn't, and that is another story) watching Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2013. Oh, that almost didn't happen because the electric circuit in our house decided to die on us 45 minutes towards the countdown. Good thing our tenant was a former electrician so he was able to help us and got it back on 10 minutes before the new year. What a day...and what a night It was! Oh well, It's 2013 and I have a back pain, bummer! But what can I do? Sh*t happens!

I love comments, I do I do!!!
